Luke 18 Jesus tells a story of a widow who comes to a judge to ask for justice. The story says that the judge didn't care about people or God, but finally because the woman was so persistent he gave her what she wanted...

In Matthew 7 Jesus says, "Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened." (NLT)

I am not sure I always understand how prayer works. Or why some prayers are answered and other are not. But I am sure that if I never ask, I will never get a response...

At New Covenant we believe that prayer is a conversation with the creator of the universe - a dialogue between us and God. Sometimes it means asking. Sometimes it means listening. Sometimes is means crying, yelling, thanking or even sitting quietly without doing anything.

We have different groups and individuals that pray for people. Additionally we have a wonderful Prayer Shawl Ministry for those who are sick, hurting, grieving, celebrating or going through significant changes in their life. If you want to learn more about the Prayer Shawl Ministry feel free to email Dorothy using the form to the right...
